Nutrition and Maternal Health

Maternal nutrition is a mother and her baby's requirement for all nutrients they require during pregnancy and lactation. The causes of poor nutrition in the reproductive woman are lack of healthy food intake, ignorance about dietary needs, and socio-economic factors. Public health campaigns recommend care services for pregnant women that can teach them and provide nutritional education. A midwife evaluates and instructs the dieting habits to improve the health of the mother and the infant.
