Social Determinants of Health and Community Health
Social determinants of health factors that affect health outcomes among the population include housing, education, income, and access to health care. These are some of the targets of public health efforts to reduce disparities and improve the well-being of deprived populations. For health equity to be made the objective of public health planning, intervention takes the form of health education, legislative changes, and intervention in rural and socio-economically disadvantaged areas.
