Joyce Nankabirwa is a public health researcher and maternal health advocate with extensive experience in maternal and newborn health in Uganda. She is affiliated with the Save the Mothers Program, East Africa, and the Department of Public Health at Uganda Christian University. Her research focuses on respectful maternity care, safe childbirth, and health system strengthening. Joyce has conducted qualitative studies examining women’s experiences during childbirth and the role of health providers in improving maternal outcomes. She is committed to advancing evidence-based safe motherhood interventions and enhancing maternal care practices in low-resource settings.
